A manual licence lets you drive anything — manual or automatic — which is why some learners choose to master the clutch from the start. It takes a little longer than automatic in the early lessons, but the control and confidence it builds carry over to every car you'll ever drive.
You'll learn in a dual-control Kia Picanto — light, easy to handle and forgiving to learn clutch work in. Lessons are built around your level and cover:
Clutch control, smooth gear changes and finding the bite point
Hill starts and holding the car without rolling back
Intersections, roundabouts and merging on local roads
Reverse parking, manoeuvres and the Hornsby test routes as you progress
Logbook hours for under-25s
If you're under 25, each one-hour lesson counts as 3 hours in your NSW logbook, up to 10 lessons (30 hours) — a fast, reliable way to build toward the 120-hour requirement while learning manual properly from the outset.
Pick-up and drop-off is included across Hornsby and surrounding suburbs — lessons start and finish wherever suits you.
